Servings: 2 or 8 tea sandwiches | Preparation Time: 5 min. | Start to finish: 10 min.
This is an old time favorite in my family. Handed down from my mother who use to make these as “tea sandwiches.” But I enjoy them so much I make them for as a sandwich for great lunchtime memories.
1/2 Package Cream Cheese (8 Oz.), softened
1/4 Cup Green Olives With Pimentos, drained and sliced
4 Slices Sandwich Bread, Your Choice (I personally prefer White or Wheat)
_________
1. In a small mixing bowl whip cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
2. Spread on 4 slices of white sandwich bread or sandwich bread of your choice.
3. Next, spread a layer of sliced green olives on 2 slices of sandwich bread. Top with the cream cheese slices and enjoy.
Quicker Option: Buy salad green olives with pimentos and mix with whipped cream cheese and spread on sandwich bread.
For Tea Sandwiches: Slice crust off bread and do steps 1, 2, 3 then cut sandwich into quarters making triangles or square little sandwiches. Top with a green olive stabbed with a toothpick. Enjoy.
